An Easter egg hunt for his 6-year old son?
Posted by: | CommentsIt looks like I’ll be staying over (in a guest room) at my boyfriend’s place this weekend. In the morning, he’s going to leave to go pick up his son and has expressed the desire that I hang out there until they get back so that we can play games and whatnot. He’s also mentioned that he will need to find an Easter egg hunt thing for his son to go to, but isn’t exactly sure he’ll be able to find a good one. He doesn’t usually do hunts at his house, but I’m not entirely sure of his reasoning.
While I’m there, I’m somewhat tempted to hide a few plastic eggs with candy and quarters, and maybe a couple of inexpensive books from the Easter bunny. The issues are:
1. I want this to be a surprise to both of them, but I don’t want to overstep my bounds or offend him (I’m not sure I’d do either)
2. I don’t want to force myself into a tradition or anything like that. Given that they don’t normally do this, perhaps it wouldn’t be an issue?
3. I don’t want to confuse his son.
Obviously I am more concerned with doing something appropriate that both my boyfriend and his son would enjoy than doing something that I would when it comes to this. Mostly I want to give them both a pleasant surprise because I love getting to do little things for people. It would not be anything huge at all. Should I figure out his feelings about hiding things at home by beating around the bush, or should I be more direct and have it be a surprise only for his son, if I’m permitted to do it? Thanks!
I understand your wanting to surprise your boyfriend and his son and its a very thoughtful idea. Yet it sounds like you have valid concerns and need to communicate with your boyfriend. Surprise his son if your BF is ok with it but this doesn’t seem to be an appropriate moment to surprise everybody else. Your hearts in the right place but I encourage you to talk to your BF.
the direct method, and surprise the son, if permited. don’t want your good intentions to cause a problem.

Mysterious Journeys

Interesting documentary about Easter Island and it’s history. How were Moais built and where did the Easter Island people go.

What is easter celebration is for ?
Posted by: | Commentshmmmmm, well i do have christian friends in my place here but they are not that in depth about the history and tradition,
I think i know a few things about easter but correct me if im wrong, its about resurrection right ?
whats the history behind easter ?
Happy Easter you all
Renewal, celebration of the return of the Light (Sun/Son), Sonrise, resurrection from living death.
Pagans/Earth lovers celebrate Spring and the flow of life back onto Gaia after the Winter sleep/hibernation…fecundity, abundance, birth/rebirth, light overcoming darkness, etc.
Christians celebrate Jesus’s resurrection, rejoicing in his teachings of a new way and his overcoming death (literal for some, metaphorical for others) to achieve Christhood (Christ consciousness…union with All That Is). He came as a Way Shower, to bring the teachings of Love and Light. Metaphorically, he was the Light.
In either case, there is great rejoicing…for the promise of life renewed has been fulfilled.
A most joyous season to you, my brother…may Love light the way for all beings…
